Alex Perkins

Alex has 20 years experience as a Clinical Physiologist in the NHS. Most of this has involved diagnosing and managing sleep disordered breathing (visilab, oximetry, embletta, nox, TOSCA etc). Alex has worked for Swansea University since 2009 on the Clinical Physiology and Healthcare Science programs, as well as teaching respiratory physiology to other cohorts within the college (Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedics, Osteopathy, Medics). He sits on the RCCP Professional Standards in Education Committee, and the Association of Clinical Physiology Education Providers Committee. Alex recently completed a RCBC FiR Fellowship researching service user’s perspectives on screening for OSA in pregnancy. Alex is involved in quite a lot of public engagement and schools outreach.
