We are delighted to announce that the BSS Sleep 2025 Conference will take place from 5th–7th November at the DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole.
BSS Sleep 2025 is the UK's largest multidisciplinary sleep conference, covering clinical sleep medicine, cutting-edge research, and the public health aspects of sleep. This flagship event brings together professionals from across sleep science and medicine — including established scientists and clinicians, as well as those at earlier stages in their careers.
We are also pleased to be hosting sessions from both the British Paediatric Sleep Society (BPSS) and the British Society of Dental Sleep Medicine (BSDSM).

Abstracts are invited for presentation at the BSS Scientific Conference 2025 to be held at doubletree by Hilton Metropole on 5th - 7th November 2025. All abstracts will be subject to peer review organised by the BSS Executive Committee.
Abstract submission deadline: 11:59pm on 7th July 2025
Notification of acceptance date on or around: 31st July 2025
There is a 300 word limit including references (not including title and authors). Abstracts over this limit will not be accepted. The abstract should be structured: Title, Authors, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion.
- A maximum of 2 tables / figures will be allowed, these are not included in the word limit. Please do not use a table for text that should be in the main section. The following formats will be accepted – Microsoft word or pdf.
- Research must adhere to good medical or research practice. See UK Research Integrity Office advice (https://ukrio.org/wp-content/uploads/UKRIO-Recommended-Checklist-for-Researchers.pdf).
- Abstracts must be submitted in their final format. Please ensure that all the information provided with the abstract (Including author names and affiliations) is complete and accurate.
- For BSS 2025, we are considering abstracts for oral presentations as well as posters. Please indicate if you would like to be considered for an oral presentation. All accepted abstracts that are not able to be scheduled as oral presentations, or where you have not indicated that you would like to be considered for an oral presentation, will be accepted as posters.
- Once your abstract is submitted, no further changes can be made and will be the version sent on for publication to the BMJ ORR if accepted.
- By submitting to this conference you are giving your consent at time for accepted abstracts to be published in the BMJ Open Respiratory Research.
- The deadline for abstract submission is 11:59pm on 11:59pm on 7th July 2025.
- Successful applicants will be notified on or before the 31st July 2025.
- It is expected that at least one author will register and attend the conference. Posters will not be displayed unaccompanied.

All accepted abstracts will be published by BMJ and once your abstract is submitted, no further changes can be made and will be the version sent on for publication to the BMJ ORR.
