The ECPs will aim:

-to bridge the gap between students, post docs and professionals at an early career stage

-to be the voice of early career professionals in the field of sleep medicine or sleep research.

-to establish a network for ECPs in clinical medicine or research and connect with other ECPs to identify their needs for career development

-to identify quality improvement, research funding, training and mentorship opportunities relevant to ECPs and announce these via the BSS ‘The Hoot’ newsletter

-to liaise with the Education and the Communication committee to advise on ECPs issues

-to collaborate with the executive committee to define benefits of BSS membership for ECPs in order to encourage ECPs to become BSS members

 

Both ECP will have access to senior BSS executive committee members in a mentor-mentee scheme.
