European Sleep Research Society (ESRS): Newsletter November 2025

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As November settles in and the days grow shorter with the first snow already falling here in Iceland, time seems to be flying towards the end of the year. At the ESRS, we are wrapping up our 2025 initiatives and preparing for an exciting congress year ahead.

I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the 108 newly certified Expert Somnologists and 20 Expert Somnologist-Technologists who have successfully completed the 2025 ESRS Sleep Medicine Examination. It is encouraging to see how sleep medicine is becoming increasingly relevant, and how the number of professionals pursuing ESRS certification reflects the growing interest in the field across Europe. To date, 1631 individuals have passed ESRS examinations.
