Dr Rachel Sharman

Dr Rachel Sharman is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the Sir Jules Thorn Sleep and Circadian Neuroscience Institute, University of Oxford. She is supported by funding from the NIHR Oxford Health BRC Better Sleep Theme.  Dr Sharman’s research combines clinical trials, wearable technology, and behavioural sleep science to better understand how sleep influences both physical and mental health. She has also co-led several major studies on insomnia, contributing to the growing evidence base for digital cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (dCBTi). Passionate about translating sleep science into real-world impact, she teaches on Oxford’s Online Programme in Sleep Medicine and leads a Masterclass in Sleep Measurement.
