Webinar: Getting referral and triage right for respiratory services
Long waits often start at the front door. Get referral and triage right, and patients reach the right care sooner.
A free webinar on 21 September (12:00-13:00) covers how to do that. Getting the front door right: building better respiratory pathways is the second in a series from the national Elective Care Respiratory Pathways Programme.
The session covers:
- Referral optimisation across the sleep, breathlessness and chronic cough pathways
- Advice and guidance models for each workstream
- Primary and secondary care triage approaches
- Case studies from NHS trusts already using these methods
It is open to clinicians, service leads, commissioners and anyone working in respiratory services.
The programme is commissioned by NHS England and led by Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley. It supports NHS providers to reduce referral to treatment times, address unwarranted variation and strengthen multidisciplinary working.
