Dr Lizzie Hill

Dr Lizzie Hill has worked in Sleep Medicine since 2000, training within the Department of Sleep Medicine at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh before passing the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) exam at its first sitting in the UK in 2005. She gained the European Sleep Research Society Somnologist-Technologist (EST) credential at its inaugural sitting in 2014, and is registered at M-Level in Sleep with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP).

Lizzie was awarded her PhD by The University of Edinburgh in 2016, examining prevalence and treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea in adults with Down syndrome. She is currently a Course Tutor on the Oxford Online Programme in Sleep Medicine, University of Oxford.

Lizzie is President of the European Society of Sleep Technologists (ESST), a member of the European Sleep Research Society Exam Subcommittee and a co-opted member of the Executive Committee of the British Sleep Society, leading the Education Subcommittee.
